In August of 2012, Diddley Squat was picked to be the Hamster For President nominee, with brother Squit his vice presidential choice. They campaigned energetically, and on the 7th of November 2012, Diddley declared victory, citing uncounted write-in ballots in all 50 states.

Since that time, both Diddley and Squit have married - Diddley to bride Cree, who is now the mother of their eleven children (six girls, five boys) born 13 of May, 2013, and Squit to Bassey, who bore him a litter of healthy babies on the 4th of August, 2013.

THIS IS THE ORIGINAL REPORT PUBLISHED ON THIS SITE IN AUGUST 2012.

Diddley Squat for President! This is the rallying cry of the Hamster For President 2012 campaign. With all the primary votes sorted out, Diddley has been chosen as the nominee. He will officially become Candidate Diddley Squat on the 18th of August at the Hamster political convention in the middle of nowhere or, to put it another way, some place near Casper, Wyoming.

The formal nomination will come just a week after Diddley received his law degree from the University of Hamsterdam. Diddley, whose legal name is Diddley Squat VI, is the son of Beetle and Bitty Squat of Colorado.

The future President is pictured above working tirelessly in his office suite at an undisclosed location on the 21st story of a highrise on East Colfax Avenue, which is believed to be in the metropolitan Denver area.

Already several hundred hamsters and other rodents have volunteered to help the campaign. Thousands more are expected to work both on the national and local levels. Duties include fundraising, opinion research, media outreach, policy studies, and much more.
